George Wright – Commissioner
Mr. Wright served with the Government of Manitoba for 18 years, including 15 years as Commissioner of the Law Enforcement Review Agency. Prior to joining the Provincial Government, he served 30 years as a police officer in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Mr. Wright has extensive experience and participation as an executive member of numerous community organizations. Mr. Wright has been recognized with the Government of Manitoba Meritorious Service Award (2013), a Life Time Achievement Award from the Canadian Association for the Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (2013), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Long Service Medal (1995) and a Star Blanket from the Sandy Bay First Nation (1981).
