Mamadou Ka - Commissioner - Manitoba Police Commission - Government of Manitoba

A recipient of the The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012, Ka is a political science professor at the University of Saint-Boniface where he teaches in the undergrad and graduate programs. Mamadou is also a Political Analyst at the French CBC radio and television and has acted as an in-house expert during past federal, provincial and municipal elections. He is presently a columnist in local paper La Liberté and a commentator on French CBC television on African Politics. Ka is very involved in the community; he is the current President of the Société franco-manitobaine (SFM) and Past President of Amicale de la Francophonie Multiculturelle du Manitoba (AFMM). He currently sits as the Vice-president of Alliance française du Manitoba and acted as Vice Chair and Chair of the Manitoba Ethnocultural Advisory and Advocacy Council (MEAAC), from 2008 to 2011.
