Mamadou Ka – Commissioner

Mamadou Ka - Commissioner - Manitoba Police Commission - Government of Manitoba

A recipient of The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012, Ka is an adjunct professor at the University of Saint-Boniface where he teaches in the undergrad and graduate programs. He is a political scientist. Mamadou has lent his insight and expertise to local media outlets as political analyst and has acted as an in-house expert during past federal and provincial elections. Ka is very involved in the community serving on the boards of the Catholic Health Corporation of Manitoba, St. Boniface Hospital and Abrimarguerite. He is Vice-President of the Parent Council at École Précieux-Sang and served recently as Vice-President of Alliance française du Manitoba, Chair and Vice-Chair of the Manitoba Ethnocultural Advisory and Advocacy Council (MEAAC), Chair and Vice-Chair of Amicale de la francophonie multiculturelle du MB and was President and Vice-president of Societé Franco-manitobaine (SFM).
